Pass your paragliding pilot’s license with Air Sports

Initial Patent

The initial paragliding certificate attests to the ability to fly unassisted in calm conditions on a known site and with suitable equipment. This level is usually reached at the end of a progression course.

Green level on the FFVL free flight passport.

Minimum age: 12 years old.

The theoretical evaluation is carried out by an AirSports instructor in the form of his or her choice (oral interview or MCQ), covering the theoretical subjects as defined on the progression sheet between the white and green levels.

The practical evaluation is carried out by an AirSports instructor who validates the acquisition of the green level on the progress sheet.

Pilot’s license (BP)

The paragliding pilot’s license attests to sufficient skills to search for information that will allow you to fly or not depending on the site and the conditions. These skills must allow the pilot to safely manage his evolution on site in moderate aerological conditions and to master dynamic flight.

Blue level on the FFV free flight passport.

Minimum age: 14 years old.

The theoretical evaluation is in the form of a 60 question MCQ on the theoretical contents as defined on the progression sheet up to the blue level.

The practical evaluation is conducted by an instructor and certified by the Air Sports technical director.

Rates:

  • Licence validation with appointment, any date: 299 €.
  • By including one day’s training: €199
  • On a dedicated day: €159
  • For pilots whose practical level is already known, only the theoretical evaluation is necessary: 60 €.

Confirmed Pilot Certificate (BPC)

The Advanced Paragliding Pilot Certificate attests tothe competence to optimize the operation of the aerology of the day, in terms of piloting, analysis, respect of the rules and state of mind. It validates the third cycle. The confirmed pilot’s license allows you to practice in competition and to access federal qualifications (tandem qualification, monitor, accompanist).

Brown level on the FFVL free flight passport.

Conditions: 16 years old, pilot’s license and FFVL license.

Theoretical evaluation in the form of a MCQ of 30 questions and 2 technical sheets to be completed, covering the theoretical content as defined on the progression sheet between the blue and brown levels, with the possibility of confirmation by interview.

The practical evaluation is validated by an instructor.

  • Licence validation with appointment, any date: 299 €.
  • By including one day’s training: €199
  • On a dedicated day (4 drivers minimum): 159 €.
